Simple Fall Chocolate Birthday Cake

This is a chocolate Guinness cake filled with vanilla buttercream and decorated with chocolate buttercream. I threw on a few fondant fall leaves for the decoration. Sometimes simple really is better.

For the car, I used Wilton's 3D Cruiser pan. The car is a triple chocolate fudge cake. I just love this cake design for a little boy!

Introducing Vegan Cakes and Vegan Buttercream!

I was contacted by someone who wanted to know if I could make a vegan cake. I had never made a vegan cake but after looking at recipes I realized that making a vegan cake was fairly simple.

This is the website that I found while looking up recipes. http://www.vrg.org/recipes/vegancakes.htm By using these three ingredients as replacements of milk, eggs and butter I was able to make a really good vanilla vegan cake.

For the vanilla buttercream icing - I used Wilson's Buttercream recipe and used the Vegan Buttery Sticks and water instead of milk.

Due to the higher cost of materials Vegan cakes will cost an extra $5 or an extra $10 for a sheet cake.
