What a great way to start the summer! These vanilla cupcakes are topped with an "Oh So Delish" Pina Colada Buttercream Icing!

3D Mini Teddy Bear Tiered Floral Cake!

This cake was made for my daughter's 1st birthday party. I had so much fun making it. She loves teddy bears & I used Wilton's 3D Mini Teddy Bear cake pan. The bear was her "smashing" cake. The cake has the following:

8" Bottom cake - 1 layer chocolate cake, 1 layer vanilla cake filled with vanilla buttercream icing.
6" Middle cake - 2 layers of vanilla cake filled with chocolate buttercream icing
3D Mini Teddy Bear - vanilla pound cake (to hold it's shape it needed to be made out of pound cake) covered with chocolate buttercream icing.

Flowers: Royal icing
Decorations: vanilla buttercream

This is a lemon cake filled with lemon buttercream icing - decorated with vanilla buttercream. A beautiful cake that's delicious as well!

Nightmare Before Christmas Cake!

Talk about a FUN cake to make! Because this cake was for a girl turning 9 (who LOVES the Nightmare Before Christmas) & her parents - I just did a single layer 8" cake that I cut in half & filled with chocolate buttercream filling topped by a single layer 6" cake prepared the same way. The cake was marble & I "dirty iced" it with the same chocolate buttercream icing. The decorations are vanilla buttercream.

Basket Weave...So Beautiful!

The Basket Weave design has always been a favorite of mine. I made this cake this week & it's just so simple & beautiful. It's a vanilla cake with almond buttercream filling/icing. The flowers are made with Royal Icing.

Butter Cake with Maple Buttercream Icing & BACON in the middle!

There is a local store that sells cupcakes with Maple (Real Vermont of course) Buttercream Icing & a slice of bacon on top. We went there one day to buy one but they didn't have any. I was disappointed & mentioned it to a friend who suggested I make my own. That's what I did & here's the results! It was SO good...however we decided that it's best to take the bacon out before you eat the cake or else the bacon overpowers the cake. When you remove the bacon it leaves the flavor on top of the maple buttercream filling & is to die for!
